Ellesmere Port Frack Free has been set up to prevent an unconventional gas development occurring in Ellesmere Port that may harm the people, may damage the environment and will hold back the regeneration of the area.
Councillors have united in their opposition to the site and refused planning permission, but IGas, the developers, have taken it to appeal between the 15th and 24th of January, to be held in Chester Town Hall (which coincidentally is the height of an unconventional gas rig). The appeal is adjourned and restarted on 26th-28th February and will conclude on Tuesday 5th-6th March.
